My favorite bits from the Singer sewing manual:
- Never sew with a sink full of dishes.
- Make yourself as attractive as possible.
- If you look like a mess and fear drop-in visitors (or your husband’s sudden arrival??), you won’t enjoy your sewing.
Though to be fair, I have a hard time doing anything creative if my place feels messy. It distracts me. But I have no problem working on tasks without a lick of makeup on.
